The NC Dance Festival, a production of the Dance Project, is an annual touring showcase of modern and contemporary choreography by NC artists. The Festival establishes a network of venues for professional regional choreography and performance, expanding accessibility of dance throughout the state while raising the profile of North Carolina’s own artists.
​
S/O Dance is thrilled to bring The Front to NCDF- a sharp, satirical piece that explores the tension between who we are, who we pretend to be, and the masks we wear to survive or transform. The Front was originally commissioned by American Dance Festival in 2024 with support from The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation.

S/OURCE Winter Intensive at UNCSA

The S/OURCE Winter Intensive is a gradual return to training for University North Carolina School of the Arts students following winter break, led by S/O Artistic Directors Gavin Stewart and Vanessa Owen with UNCSA faculty.
Students refresh their technique, explore S/O repertory, regain strength through targeted conditioning, and restore with focused mindfulness sessions. Along with professional development, participants receive audition feedback from active professional artists.
Created in partnership with S/O Dance and the UNCSA School of Dance, with support from the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts; S/OURCE is free to existing UNCSA School of Dance commuter students and students with housing at Center Stage Apartments on a first-come, first-served basis.

WNCDA Benefit Concert

S/O Dance will perform as guests in WNC Dance Academy's annual Winter Benefit Concert featuring the students of the WNCDA Repertory Ensemble. A rare opportunity to see the progression from tiny dancers to professionals in this community, this performance always steals audience's hearts.
For the third year in a row, WNCDA will donate all proceeds from this performance to S/O Dance's scholarship fund for emerging dance artists attending DELVE: the intensive.
